After a few days, Princess Rosabella was resting in her chamber when her dasi, who was more like a dear friend than a servant, hurried inside.
“Princess,” she said softly, “His Majesty is calling you downstairs.”
Rosabella adjusted her gown and walked toward the grand darbar hall. The vast chamber glittered with chandeliers and golden pillars. Her father, King Alistair, sat proudly on his majestic throne. Beside him was her graceful mother, Queen Isabella, and next to her stood Rosabella’s elder brother, Prince Adrian, the future king.
King Alistair looked at his daughter and spoke firmly.
“Rosabella, prepare yourself. King Johan and his son, Prince Xavier, are visiting our kingdom for the first time.”
Queen Isabella added with a gentle but meaningful smile,
“Yes, my dear. We want you to impress them. King Johan and his son are important guests.”
Rosabella lifted her chin slightly, curiosity flickering in her brown eyes.
“I will be ready, Mother,” she replied calmly — though somewhere in her heart, she felt that this royal visit might bring unexpected trouble… or perhaps something far more interesting.
She did not know yet that fate was already weaving its threads — and that she might soon meet the same mysterious prince from the forest once again.
